Who are we?

Goreti Cardoso
Originally from Brazil, Goreti Cardoso started her dance career at the age of 17 taking Brazilian Ballroom dance classes. In 2001, she joined Bamberg Dance Company in her home town. Trained by the best dance professionals in Bahia, Brazil, two years later she became a professional dance instructor. She has taught, performed and choreographed in Brazil, in U.S. and in Canada. In 2006, she started teaching in Toronto as well as performing, choreographing and directing her own dance company. She works with different styles of Brazilian and Latin Dance, such as Samba de Gafieira, Brazilian Bolero, Cha Cha Cha, Soltinho and Forró, as well as Carnival Dances but always focusing on the Brazilian social dance styles. Goreti currently offers group and private lessons for adults and children with Brazil Dance World where her enthusiasm, high-energy and passion have earned her the praise of her students.
Lucas Amaral
Lucas started performing professionally at the age at 14 in Brazil, in his hometown as a part of a non-for-profit dance company. He enjoyed his experience so much that after that he never stopped dancing. He has performed Brazilian Ballroom dance in Brazil, the U.S.A., and Canada.
Lucas currently performs with Brazil Dance World where he also choreographs and provides instruction for group dance classes since 2006. Lucas radiates energy and happiness on the dance floor when performing different Ballroom dance styles: Samba de Gafieira, Zouk, Swing, Lambada, Cha cha cha, Forro, Bolero and other dance styles such as Axe and Samba no Pe.
